Excerpt: In our Versus Filter Compare series, we tested the HQRP TiO2 Treated HEPA Filter against the original Electrolux Aerus Lux Guardian (F159B, F159A, F159D, F159E, 00498, Beyond Guardian Air Gen 2 & Gen 1). While the OEM filter maintains reliable performance, the HQRP alternative stood out with its innovative TiO2 treatment, which we found improved particle neutralization without compromising airflow. Our tests revealed the HQRP filter’s dual-stage filtration offered a subtle edge in removing volatile organic compounds (VOCs), though it did require occasional cleaning to maintain efficiency. The closest visual parallel to the original was evident in LED readings, where neither filter showed significant drift over time. For those prioritizing extended use or advanced purification, HQRP’s upgrade was a satisfying middle ground, balancing cost with performance.
